I'm Mark Jennette, and I discovered when I was researching my branch of the Jennette family tree that variations occured when census takers misspelled our name. It seems that few in my branch of the Jennette family was educated enough to read their name, or know if it was spelled correctly. Many in my branch was blacksmiths.
